Putting in A Solar Bird Bath

Installing A solar bird bath can be a great way to dress up your garden and can also attract a wide variety of birds. It will bring a wide variety of species to your yard. In fact, it will attract a lot more different types of birds than just a bird feeder will.

The best type of bird baths are shallow ones, maximum depth no greater than three inches. Many commercial bird baths are made with too much depth. Take some stones and place them in the bird bath to make it shallower.

If you want to do something more to bring in birds in your garden then you should also have a fountain along with your bird bath. The sound of falling or dripping water is a sure attractant for birds.

A non-slip bottom in your birdbath will help birds keep their footing while bathing.

Hot weather makes daily solar bird bath water changes more important.

It's a good idea to place your bird bath on some kind of stand or hang it from a tree to make it difficult for predators to reach - if birds don't feel safe, they are unlikely to use the bird bath.

If you enjoy watching birds, you can install a bird bath in your garden which will provide pleasure for yourself as well as the birds. Place your bird bath near a window where youll be able to sit comfortably and watch the birds.

Be good to your birds!
