Even if you feel like your basement is dark and dreary, a little bit of TLC can make it a great place to be. If you simply use a little creativity your basement can be a dream room. Come up with your best basement ideas - decorating can be fun. Some basement renovations can be costly, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. Choose a purpose for the room first. A family room? A bar? A game room? Then plant the layout and decor to suit. A few coats of paint and some good lighting can make an incredible difference in any basement.
